US Custody Settlements Operations Manager Vice President

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Vice President who has custody or settlements experience and is familiar with our regulatory environment. Someone who can critically asses processes for optimization and who leads fearlessly. Job Summary:

As the Custody Settlements Support Manager you and your team will be responsible for owning the end to end reviews of the US Settlements Operations processes, clarifying roles and responsibilities across this #1 essential service, providing thought leadership and settlements interface to our change and product stakeholders. US Custody Settlements is a highly regulated essential service and is an integral part of Custody Operations. Responsible for the settlement of trillions of dollars each month the team actions a range of core and non-core Business As Usual Activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end process and operating model reviews
  • Ensure proper controls are in place to reduce financial risks and where gaps are identified ensure appropriate and timely action is taken to address
  • Support strategic projects in partnership with Product, Tech and Change partners for seamless change adoption with key focus on strategic stack adoption. 
  • Provide thought leadership and act as a Settlements interface for all industry, regulatory and strategic change initiatives.
  • Drive & deliver process optimization projects to reduce Ops manual touch points using new & innovative tools including but not limited to, UI Path, Owl DQ, Alteryx, educating the wider operations group on the tools and functionality available to them as citizen developers
  • Direct change teams on requirements for strategic initiatives as well as tactical enhancements such as MI Dashboards that provide accurate and relevant MI across the Settlements Organization
  • Oversee KPIs and reporting for the group providing guidance and expertise where required to solve for complex issues.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Product Knowledge: Possesses financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle in Custody
  • Risk and Control: Strong risk and control mindset, including the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
  • Experience: 8+ years in the financial services industry and experience in leading successful and productive teams
  • Communication: Confident communicator in all mediums with both internal and external clients
  • Strategic thinker: has the experience and ability to review and implement process improvements
