You will be joining to DMO Silicon Photonics QnR (Disaggregation Manufacturing Org) at our growing site of Intel NM which is the home for our most advanced packaging technologies (Silicon Photonics, Embedded Bridge, Interposer, Die prep/sort, Wafer Level Assembly). DMO is extensively working to develop and ramp our new semiconductor Silicon Photonics and packaging technologies from a small-scale proof of concept line to millions of units per week HVM environment.

This role is an 'on-site' role and requires living in New Mexico.

The NM DMO Silicon Photonics Quality and Reliability Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Develop, apply, and maintain quality and reliability standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished product.
  • Evaluate the materials, process and techniques used in production to meet the requirement of products and production equipment.
  • Specify inspection and testing mechanism, conduct quality assessment (up to and including audits) and perform statistical analysis to determine the responsibility for products and systems that do not meet required specifications.
  • Deliver standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems and methods.
  • Provide feedback to BU, TD and/or partner engineering group on design or method and statistical process control procedures including manufacturing systems in HVM.
  • Determine reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives.
  • Develop new acceleration techniques, analytical tools and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product quality/reliability.
  • Respond to customer requests or events as they occur.
  • Make recommendations for changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process/product reliability.

This position will be onsite in Rio Rancho, New Mexico

The position will require immediate adaptation to a fast-paced environment with limited training on the basic content.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred

qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/Physics or related field of study.

AND

  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in Semiconductors Fab process

OR

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/Physics or related field of study

AND

  • 1+ years of relevant engineering experience in Semiconductors Fab process

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ Silicon Photonics Semiconductors Fab process, Yield, Reliability, electrical test, or laser burn in.

2+ years experience in experimental design execution and interpretation.

2+ years of relevant engineering experience one of the following: Semiconductors Fab process, Yield, Reliability, electrical test, or laser burn in. 

Experience in reliability failure statistics physics or failure mechanisms. 

Semiconductor failure analysis methodologies.

Experience in process Certification and reliability risk assessment, quality systems, and quality culture knowledge.
