About Your Role:

As our Senior Account Manager (m/f/d) you are part of the German sales team based in Darmstadt and from 2024 at our new location in Frankfurt am Main (www.one-frankfurt.de)! We are looking for a new team member (m/f/d) who has high service standards, enjoys being in contact with customers and works closely with other areas of the company.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and direct customer responsibility for an individual portfolio (customers with an annual turnover of up to 400 KEUR D&B annual turnover)
  • Responsibility for contract renewal, expansion of the business relationship (upsell), active customer loyalty as well as the acquisition and support of new logos (new customers)
  • Creation of account plans for top customers in the personal portfolio
  • Coordination of deal teams for target customers with the various specialist departments
  • High focus on qualified customer loyalty activities (including “winback”) and sales of products such as D&B Hoovers, D&B Finance Analytics, D&B Risk Analytics and D&B Data Blocks
  • Identification of new customer contacts (finance, purchasing, compliance, sales and marketing)
  • Identify up- and cross-sell opportunities and increase of core sales
  • Handover of qualified cross-sell opportunities (“leads”) to the solution sales team
  • Responsible for contract management for contract renewals
  • Drive sales-related activities (e.g., telephone new business acquisition, service-oriented calls, conversations to stimulate product usage) to improve customer loyalty and prevent customer turnover
  • Manage and communicate progress against goals through accurate and timely pipeline management, reporting and forecasting via our CRM system
  • Tracking target achievement and documenting your own sales performance
  • Migration of old products into the new D&B portfolio
  • Acquisition, support and further expansion of new customer accounts

Your Experience

  • Position-relevant sales experience in managing customer portfolios, also with larger medium-sized companies
  • Ideally B2B experience in the data, technology or financial services industry as well as experience in the application of modern sales methodologies
  • Extensive experience in supporting larger, medium-sized companies and ideally experience in acquiring new customers
  • Proven competence in sales negotiations, high motivation and a confident and representative appearance with strong contact and communication skills
  • Working in a team-oriented environment and supporting the internal collaboration culture
  • In-depth understanding of client processes (Sales & Marketing / Finance & Risk Solutions / Compliance) and the relevant client offering within the respective area of expertise
  • Ideally experience in the creation of account plans
  • Ideally experience in coordinating deal teams for target clients
  • Proven track record of identifying market needs and defining and launching innovative products in a corporate environment
  • Experience and know-how in win-back activities leading to lower retention rate
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects in an ever-changing environment and a dynamic and results-oriented culture
  • Experience in designing and delivering live demos and product trainings (web-based)
  • Ideally experience in the field of information services and dealing with complex databases/systems and interface technologies (API services)
  • Experience as a brand ambassador and experienced in dealing with social media (LinkedIn)
  • Sound industry-specific, user-related IT knowledge (MS Office, e.g. Salesforce, etc.)
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English and German language
