The role

Titan Private Wealth are looking for a CASS manager with at least five years’ experience working within a CASS environment to assist SMF 18 PRZ in ensuring that the business maintains a fully compliant client money and asset environment that meets the requirements of the FCA CASS rules.

Job responsibilities

  • Assisting the SMF 18 PRZ in achieving operational oversight of systems, reporting, and completing and submitting CMAR to the FCA.
  • Driving continued evolution and enhancement of the firm’s CASS framework, instilling an appropriate CASS Culture and Governance framework.
  • Management of the CASS team and oversight of CASS-related functions performed by the CASS Community (Operations and Middle Office) including performance of cash and asset reconciliations according to the firm’s stated frequencies.
  • Managing required remediation through to successful completion.
  • Maintenance of all policy and procedure documents including, but not limited to, client bank account acknowledgement letters, CASS Resolution Pack, daily client money and asset procedures, CMAR procedures and the bank and custodian selection policy (plus annual due diligence review of all such institutions).
  • Maintain controls over the opening, closing and amendment to bank accounts and banking relationships in accordance with the Company’s written procedures.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of CASS training through different mediums across the firm;
  • Ensure daily internal and external reconciliations are performed for all client accounts (cash and assets).
  • Review reconciliations and ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve differences promptly.
  • Production of appropriate and timely CASS MI
  • Management of CASS Audit process.
  • Effectively manage the team to ensure the function runs smoothly, including hiring, training, motivating, and assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback, coaching, and training opportunities.
  • Any other duties in line with the level and scope of this role.
  • Adhere to Consumer Duty.

Requirements

  • Can demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the FCA CASS Framework, FRC standards, industry standards and current and ongoing developments across the CASS specifically and regulatory landscape generally.
  • At least 5 years in a CASS role, preferably with detailed knowledge of key operational processes as well as knowledge of clearing and custody processes for cash and securities.
  • Can demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Will be pragmatic in their approach, understanding the urgency of resolving issues as they arise and will be committed to further embedding a defined CASS culture within the organisation.
