POSITION SUMMARY

  • The multimedia content creation intern will support the internal and external marketing communications projects at Vertiv by producing content video, photography, social media stories, and blogs. This role will be supporting the global marketing team at Vertiv, specifically the brand and reputation global center of excellence, which includes internal communications, content creation, PR and other integrated marketing functions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Pre-Production: Create concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video and multimedia projects.
  • Production: Record photography and video of notable events and initiatives in Central Ohio for Vertiv, including community relations, internal- and external-facing events, and executive communications. Equipment required will be provided by the company.
  • Post-Production: Support the creation of videos for product launches, case studies, thought leadership and internal communications. The role will be responsible for combining video footage, images, audio, 3D renders/animations and other inputs into a final piece.
  • Communications: Develop stories for social media, including video, photography, and copy, to help communicate Vertiv’s efforts related to community engagement and other strategic communication priorities. Leverage a mix of media and platform-specific approaches to reach the audience. Support the editorial calendar by creating blogs with multimedia components for community relations efforts.
  • Ensures brand compliance for multimedia productions as per published brand guidelines. Store source files and finished collateral in the designated repository for publishing and archiving, ensuring other marketers can leverage the efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications: 

  • Minimum number of 1-2 years of experience in multimedia production field.
  • 1+ years of experience executing video editing and motion graphics. Including knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity in video/multimedia.
  • Understanding of foundation art fundamentals including: color theory, composition, rhythm, and balance.
  • Portfolio of work must include: Video editing reel, preferably with motion graphics expertise and animation examples.
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, basic capabilities with Adobe Audition or similar audio software.
  • 1+ year experience with on-site and field video production. Familiarity with cameras, lenses, wireless microphone systems and continuous lights highly preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Preferred number of 2-3 years of experience in multimedia production field.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Intern candidate must be entering either their Junior year for a bachelor’s in arts, communications or multimedia.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Light Lifting (5 Ibs.-25 Ibs.) (for on-site video production)
  • Frequent Standing (for on-site video production)
