Winrock strengthens the capacity of women, children, youth, and civil society organizations to actively participate in local and national development and to transform their societies. Winrock International implements a five-year USAID-funded counter human trafficking project entitled USAID’s Fight Slavery and Trafficking-In-Persons (FSTIP) Activity. The objectives of FSTIP are to:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Officer, Prevention and Communications is responsible for assisting the FSTIP Prevention Manager in leading the prevention portfolio, particularly around planning, implementation, and reporting of prevention activities. He/she will ensure implementation of prevention technical activities in targeted project districts directly and in collaboration with prevention subgrantees. He/she will also monitor subgrantee implementation, budgets, and achievements against targets; develop program communications and report on prevention successes.
He/she will also work closely with the FSTIP Communications Specialist to publicize the results achieved by FSTIP project, its partner organizations, and volunteer groups (peer leader and ANIRBAN) through designing and publishing high-quality publications and producing video documentaries.
He/she will contribute to program strategies and budget forecasting; assist in the development of consultant Terms of Reference (ToRs) and RFAs for prevention grantees and will lead their selection and award process. He/she will coordinate with stakeholders responsible for preventing TIP and promoting safe migration. He/she will also serve as a trainer on relevant topics as and when necessary.
This is a local/national position and is not eligible for international allowances or relocation allowances.
