POSITION TITLE: HR Coordinator I

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Coordinator I will be responsible for all functions in the HR department including but not limited to corporate policies, training, problem resolution, and maintaining employee records all while delivering the highest level of customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Become knowledgeable and proficient in all GUESS HR systems, processes and skill sets. Within 6 months incumbent is proficient in: PeopleSoft-including data entry, navigating through different systems, and report writing. Customer Service Skills-know and use the skills exactly as taught in the training. Thoroughly comprehend all of the steps and model and teach the specific steps to others. Teach and reinforce organizational approved systems and processes to supervisors and employees. Thoroughly know specifically all corporate policies and procedures. Understand scope and depth of policies sufficiently and apply policies to current fact situations, making correct determinations. Know and effectively utilize prescribed coaching practices, processes and skills. Effectively model and train others in the same. Understand organizational structure-vertical. Familiar with horizontal reporting relationships. Assist and develop supervisors in the use of PeopleSoft, including reading panels, navigating through the systems, and writing reports while maintaining a premium level of customer service.

Coach and facilitate problem resolution for supervisors and employees. Assume and exhibit personal ownership and responsibility for the reputation and success of the department. Demonstrate strong personal commitment and team enhancing behavior. Assist supervisors in problem resolution, modeling and teaching predefined processes and skills. This requires modeling the skills and teaching the specific steps of each process. Facilitate problem solving and team building between two employees. Teach, Coach and facilitate resolution to employee issues, and supervisor/employee issues. Display well developed probing skills, effectively using open ended questions and skills. Exercise good judgment and balanced perspective. Make recommendations and decisions within company policies and procedures, basic employment law, and company initiatives. Consistently display educated knowledge of basic employment law and all company policies. Display a proficient knowledge of organizational structures and systems and a clear understanding of vertical and horizontal relationships. Accountable for modeling policies, procedures, and department philosophy.

Ensure that all employment records and processes are maintained and comply with federal, state, local and company regulations and guidelines. Research and keep abreast of most basic employment, wage, and hour laws and regulations, both federal and state, as well company policies and procedures. Review all paperwork for compliance, accuracy and timeliness. Perform monthly audits-follow through and ensure organizational compliance with policies, procedures and employment law. Develop and provide necessary reports: Monthly tracking reports, quarterly summaries, quarterly turnover reports and exit interview summaries. Ensure that all data entry-internal and external-is timely and accurate. Maintain current filing within 7 days of development.

Manage projects from start to completion within time requirements while maintaining quality and value. Initiate projects that improve or streamline HR Processes and systems. Initiate and conduct research to bring value and substance to assigned projects. Perform all duties as assigned.

Salary Minimum

$48,000.00

Salary Maximum

$50,000.00
