THE POSITION

In support of a high-growth mandate, we’re hiring for the position of Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic and highly engaged Engineering team.

As a Senior QA Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will directly impact the delivery of a superior virtual healthcare experience for Canadians.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for daily triage of new bugs, testing of new features, reviewing requirements and designs of new features, identifying edge cases, guiding the team in understanding potential implementation pitfalls and ensuring that product quality remains consistent and ever-improving.

Critical to success in this role will be your proficiency in quality assurance best practices, developing and executing test plans and scripts and ensuring that quality issues are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved—ensuring impactful contributions to our platform. Beyond your deep technical expertise, your ability to foster collaboration among fellow quality assurance analysts will elevate the entire team's capabilities. Through effective communication and collaborative problem-solving within cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in our delivery of successful user-facing products.

12 – 18 MONTH DELIVERABLES

Within the first 90 days, you'll develop an understanding of our products, applications, processes, and tools while contributing to the implementation of key features for Maple's web and mobile experience.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, you will play a key role in elevating QA standards at Maple. Your commitment to continuous improvement will lead to the identification and implementation of streamlined processes within our QA workflows. You'll partner closely with your cross-functional squad, comprising developers, designers, and product managers, to optimize processes which will contribute to more resilient and reliable rollouts of major platform updates, ensuring an uninterrupted and seamless user experience.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience testing applications that ship to both iOS and Android platforms. 
  • The candidate possesses a proven track record in effectively communicating both technical and business-level information through the creation and maintenance of clear documentation, including test plans, test cases and bug reports.
  • The ideal candidate is proficient in conducting functional, integration, regression and exploratory testing of new products, enhancements and releases. 
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates robust analytical, and problem-solving skills paired with experience identifying, documenting and tracking system defects to resolution. 
  • The candidate has knowledge and experience using agile testing software, such as Jira, Confluence and TestRail.
  • An excellent communicator and exemplary team player, the ideal candidate has a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI Designers, Developers, and Product Managers.
