What you will do:

The Quality Assurance Lead will be a key member of the High Power Charging NA Product team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our high power charging network aligns with the quality aspirations of Mercedes-Benz and exciting our customers with best-in-class reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance of customer offering: Introduce a structured QA process for our new and released products by e.g. defining customer success metrics for our product offering
  • Station Uptime: Monitor the reliability of our stations in close coordination with Operations and Maintenance and lead troubleshooting sessions to resolve issues quickly.
  • Validation Test Strategy: Define and lead a comprehensive and scalable testing program that consistently ensures there are no roadblocks in the testing process. Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and design to deliver high-quality, innovative, and user-friendly EV charging solutions.
  • Release Process: Generate test metrics to ensure a best-in-class product before going live. Generate summary reports and data insights to facilitate the release process for new product developments.
  • Product Improvements: Provide constructive feedback in the product development process based on test data and lead improvement initiatives enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Global Coordination: Collaborate effectively with the Global Charging team based in Germany to ensure alignment of testing strategies, share best practices, and leverage global resources for quality assurance initiatives. Drive action and accountability across functional groups and keep leadership informed of the status of the testing roadmap, critical issues, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience foundation in electrical or mechanical engineering or technical discipline (Bachelor’s minimum), plus quality assurance experience in power electronics and hardware. An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus.
  • Proven track record in test planning and execution from program inception to final validation sign off.
  • Evidence of success in driving innovation and bringing successful products to market. Experience delivering products that have business impact.
  • Understanding of EV charging infrastructure, related technologies, and market dynamics, including relevant customers and complex workflows to inform new opportunities to improve their experience.
  • Demonstrates technical and business competencies that drive results and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capable of operating within a hybrid workforce, which is diverse in every way (including location).
  • Presence to interface with stakeholders, external partners, and customers alike, articulating ideas clearly and compellingly for those with less technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to successfully understand complex technical subjects and work with cross range of teams including engineering, UX, legal, finance, sales and operations.
  • Passion for sustainability and advancing clean energy initiatives through innovative products and technologies.
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills with a focus on customer centricity and operational excellence
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and levels

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. 

The estimated US base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 annually for employees based within California & New York. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive bonus programs, comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, 401(K), and paid holidays each calendar year. Individual compensation packages are based on multiple factors such as location, level, role scope, and complexity, as well as additional job-related factors such as skills, experience, and expertise.
