Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Specialist to join the Finance Department of our Life & Health (L&H) business and contribute to our ongoing finance transformation program. As a Manager, Finance Data and Reporting, you will play a crucial role in our finance transformation program by designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) and reporting solutions for our company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their reporting needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of business needs and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and visually appealing BI solutions using tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, and Workiva.
  • Create and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure accurate and timely data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to internal teams and senior management.
  • Optimize and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and implement measures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BI and data visualization, and propose innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • Proven experience as a BI Specialist, BI Developer, or similar role, with expertise in designing and implementing BI solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in BI and reporting solutions, e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, and Workiva, with the ability to leverage their advanced features to deliver impactful visualizations and reports.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with a strong understanding of database concepts and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms, such as AWS QuickSight or Microsoft Power BI, is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end BI solutions, including requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Certifications (Preferred, but not mandatory):

  • Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate or Tableau Desktop Certified Professional.
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty.
  • Financial Certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA).
  • Agile Certifications (e.g., CSD, PSD).
