Job Responsibilities

Description:Performs removal, installation, and inspection functions of F-16 aircraft wings and fuel cells in addition to assembly, and installation of components such as fuel lines, hardware, and fittings on various aircraft. Maintains F-16 hydrazine systems. Analyzes various aircraft sealing, structural, and assembly drawings, to detect seal level deficiencies on aircraft. Diagnoses results of leak test to detect drawing, specification, structural and assembly sealing errors. Recommends corrective action necessary to correct deficiencies. Performs disassembly and teardown operations of aircraft fuel systems and related components. Removes fuel cells and components from aircraft, following specific procedures and techniques. Prepares cavity for installation of fuel cells and components. Installs fuel cells and components, following specific procedures and techniques. Fuel cell and pressure sealing various fuselage components. Uses appropriate pressure test equipment, and make repairs as required. Works from operations shop orders, diagrams, blueprints, engineering orders, mil-specs and verbal instructions. Work with jigs, fixtures, and various tooling, as operations requires. Will sometimes perform other duties such as general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections. Fuel Skid and Fuel system troubleshooting on the Flightline.

  • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

  • Candidate will be required to participate on the Hydrazine Response team as required
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.
  • The candidate will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.

Greenville F16 Production runs on a 7 day work week.

This position may be assigned to any of the working schedules listed below:

1st Shift: 4X10A FLEX- 4 10 hr days Mon-Thurs; Fr/Sa/Su off. 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

2nd Shift: 4X10A FLEX- 4 10 hr days Mon-Thurs; Fr/Sa/Su off. 4:30 pm to 3:00 am

Working schedule will be provided after a candidate has accepted a position, passed background check and has completed onboarding and training.

  • Employee provided tools are not required for F-16 Production positions.

In the event an employee is re-assigned to Greenville Sustainment Operations, the employee will be required to provide a shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications detailed by the company within 14 days of re-assignment.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have 8 years of related aircraft production, overhaul, or modification experience on various aircraft Fuel systems with at least 4 years being Legacy fighter flightline experience or other closely related flightline experience.

Experience with aircraft ground handling and test equipment.

Desired Skills:

Military Flightline experience (F-16 preferred)

USAF Level 5 or Level 7 Craftsman or equivalent

A strong understanding of the maintenance process and proper documentation.

Ability to read, comprehend and navigate tech data and engineering instructions.

Hydrazine response team experience.

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
