Are you a Finance Manager looking for the next step in your career? Are you accustomed to working closely with operational teams to produce reports and commercial KPI’s? Do you enjoying engaging in customer meetings to help identify commercial efficiencies?

We’re currently on the search for a Regional Finance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis for our Sainsbury’s contract, which is a new business win for GXO, so exciting times! We are flexible on where you are based, either our Dartford or Bristol site with regular travel to the other site.

Working on an Open Book Contract, the purpose of the role is to deliver business focused “best practice” reporting and insight to operational performance. You will successfully deliver the provision of financial information including weekly costings, monthly accounts, forecasts, budgets, KPIs and balance sheet reconciliations in a time efficient and consistent manner along with weekly and monthly customer reporting requirements, alongside managing a team of colleagues.

Working Monday to Friday with some flexibility around hours from us if we can have some from you for month end and year ends

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Operational Performance reporting for both GXO and the customer
  • Provide variance analysis with adequate commentary and aid operational management in the interpretation of results whilst achieving and monitoring of agreed KPI
  • Prepare full balance sheet reconciliations in which all accounts are reconciled monthly with risk and opportunities clearly identified
  • Production of interim forecasts and the Annual Budget and monitor controls associated with debt ledger and creditors ledger
  • Develop Finance Team and build effective professional relations with internal and external stakeholders

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience in a finance management role, ideally with exposure to an open book contract environment
  • Experienced in finding cost efficiencies and potential savings
  • Exposure to building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Fully CIMA or ACCA qualified
