LCRA is seeking a Manager of Engineering to lead a dynamic team of Transmission Line Engineers, Analysts and Technicians. We need an innovative, strategic problem solver, a leader who will inspire, mentor, and lead an exceptionally technical team to solve sophisticated challenges.
You will be trusted to:
- Provide leadership and direction to staff
- Support the success of the Capital Plan
- Proficiency in the applications of industry standards specifically the National Electric Safety Code
- Direct and coordinate Engineering standards, practices, and procedures for a consistent design
- Manage department and director assigned goals
- Participate in industry committees to investigate current developments
- Facilitate the ongoing training of staff
- Analyze and solve complicated designs with the assistance of supervisors and department personnel
- Coordinate customer and internal engineering challenges
- Collaborate closely with Leadership, peers, and other departments to promote a one team philosophy
You qualify with:
- Twelve years of experience in engineering including experience providing leadership in engineering.
- A degree(s) in math, computer science, engineering, or related field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- For Water Services, requires an engineering degree plus eight or more years of engineering experience and a Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas.
- Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- Five plus years in supervision
- Professional Engineering license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, presentation, written and verbal
- Knowledge and proficiency with PLS-CADD, MFAD, PLS-Tower, PLS-Pole, and Caisson software
- The ability to critically analyze, solve, process change and improve design
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements
- Expert knowledge of engineering practices and principles
