Job Purpose

  • The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible for deploying factory performance management under Unilever standard & supporting factory and pillars with proper roll out and implementation of Unilever Manufacturing System program,
  • Prioritization, identification of the key losses and activities, projects, countermeasures against root causes, & building right methodology capabilities, etc (to drive improvements across transformation areas).
  • He/She leads Focused Improvement pillar, which under Foundation Tier co-ordinates the deployment of digital activities required across the sites. He/She keeps focus on enabling our manufacturing sites to deploy appropriate, standardized technologies and ensure consistency/compliance in deployment and associated benefit delivery.

Experiences & Qualifications

The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is expected to be responsible for following tasks

including but not limited to:

  • Drive total site Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) program deployment with Pillar Leaders, including standards development and horizontal expansion in alignment with factory’s strategic direction
  • Leads the Focused Improvement Pillar, delivering Pillar’s deliverables & building methodologies for pillar & factory team
  • Own & deploy the performance management framework & governance following Unilever’s guideline
  • Coordinate and coach team on World Class Manufacturing (WCM) / UMS methodology and maturity assessments; building methodology capabilities for the factory team
  • Utilize data collection of waste and OEE to prioritize losses and develop project prioritization plan
  • Support Plant Manager to build Factory Masterplan to deliver strategic vision in the next 5 years following business strategies
  • Lead the implementation of total site improvement & saving programs, building Improvement Culture for the site
  • Own Digitalization Level 1 Products (Visualizations & Global App) deployment for total site
  • Engage with key stakeholders and peers across geography
  • Lead Site Manufacturing Excellence team members, helping managing & building team members’ performance & capabilities

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in technical domain as minimum
  • At least 5 years in manufacturing environment with experience
  • Having strong track of record in Manufacturing Excellence & driving WCM/TPM deployment
