About the role

We have a playful and opinionated new brand, so we need a copywriter to help us embed the tone of voice to match. We’re seeking a talented and driven Copywriter to join our team and play a pivotal role in creating copy across every single marketing touchpoint. They will act as our brand champion and ultimate custodian of all copy, working across the business to bring our tone of voice to life. Our YouTube channel comes with bags of personality and we are looking to bring that fun across our entire communications and product portfolio to drive customer and partner engagement. 

We are looking for an experienced individual who has worked on a wide range of media platforms and formats. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic and creative mindset, combined with a friendly and proactive style, unafraid to challenge boundaries and current practices. This is a multi-faceted role that requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambitious environment and is happy being part of a dynamic global Marketing team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own our tone of voice. In our shiny new brand, the TOV and design make up equal parts of the creative; one doesn’t work without the other so we need someone who will act as our copy custodian. 
  • Create B2C and B2B copy for all business channels including CRM, Product, Commercial, Editorial and Performance Marketing
  • Drive brand consistency across all company communications including editing and proof existing copy to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
  • Collaborate with creative, product, marketing, and legal to assess project needs and help with messaging, working within the Global Brand team. This will include ATL national campaigns such as TV, OOH and radio. 
  • Support the evolution and adoption of our new brand identity and tone of voice across all touchpoints, acting as a brand guardian. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling marketing collateral, and campaigns tailored to the target audience.
  • Manage incoming creative requests from across the business for delivery to deadlines, in line with the creative studio working practices.
  • Analyse performance metrics, using internal performance tools, and leverage data insights to refine and improve marketing initiatives.

What you’ll need

  • Have a varied portfolio of copy, with examples across print and digital, from short form to long form and everything in between
  • Be an overall brand champion, implementing brand guidelines with attention to detail and a relentless desire to understand our audience and deliver effective yet creative work
  • Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere
  • Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Be a creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • A curious mindset, willing to get stuck in and progress
  • Experience of working in a fast paced B2C environment
  • Experience working with a designer as a creative duo
  • Experience using project management software such as Monday.com, or similar
  • Knowledge /experience across Adobe Creative Suite products is desirable, but not essential
