ECS is seeking a Proposal Graphic Designer. 

Please note: ECS HQ is in Fairfax, VA. This is a hybrid/remote position- majority of time position can be supported remotely but applicant will need to come into the Fairfax, VA office as needed.

As a member of our centralized Proposal Support Center, known as the "PropShop," you will collaborate closely with Proposal Managers, Analysts, SME’s, proposal stakeholders, and other Graphic Designers to create visually compelling graphics for high-stakes proposals, executive presentations, and innovative projects. Responsibilities:

As a Graphic Designer in the PropShop, you will use graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft PowerPoint to create visually appealing and technically precise designs. Your key responsibilities will include conceptualizing and designing graphics for proposals, creating orals and executive presentations on PowerPoint, managing file libraries, collaborating with fellow designers, and supporting initiatives to enhance internal processes. Thriving in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment is essential for this role. Flexibility in working hours and email responsiveness, including evenings and weekends, will be required to accommodate project needs on occasion. Salary: $60K+. Commensurate with the experience.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
  • Experience working on graphic design projects and creative assignments, with a proven expertise utilizing design principles such as: composition, visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro
  • Experience creating graphics and visuals for presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Superior attention to detail, time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong visual, oral, and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with utilizing brand guidelines and designing under strict parameters.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in managing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks with precision.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong sense of accountability and responsibility for meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative-taking nature with a strong ability to anticipate project needs, contributing to a proactive and efficient workflow.
  • Strong ideation skills, with the ability to generate and develop creative design concepts that align with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Business acumen and the ability to understand the client's industry and target audience.

  • Experience in strategic thinking, aligning design choices with broader business objectives.

  • Strong reading comprehension with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing a broad range of graphic design competencies.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with graphic design for proposals.
  • Experience supporting GSA FEDSIM proposals.
  • Experience working with government customers.
  • Experience in data visualization and creating impactful infographics, highlighting your ability to transform complex information into visually compelling and easily understandable designs.
  • Practice providing constructive feedback to colleagues and incorporating feedback received to enhance your own design work and skills.
  • Experience with video editing, photography, UX/UI design.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
