About the Role

HARMAN Data & Analytics supports the development, implementation, support and enablement of analytics content which includes the Modern Data Platform, Analytics, Master data Governance, Process Mining, AI/ML and generative technologies. The Director, Analytics Strategy and Execution is responsible for the development and implementation of Analytics strategies encompassing portfolio management and execution. You will be responsible for defining the processes and procedures which govern portfolio additions, prioritization, implementation, and post-launch support. In addition, this position will aid in defining robust processes around all aspects of Analytics enablement and support within HARMAN. Finally, this position will act as a liaison between Data & Analytics and relevant business counterparts to define larger Analytics execution targets to achieve strategic business goals.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement portfolio management strategy for Analytics to best achieve set targets by Business and Digital leadership.
  • Establish robust processes supporting portfolio prioritization and execution.
  • Define Business pathways into Analytics to foster stronger business engagement, project implementation, and user adoption.
  • Drive Master Data Governance discussions around proposed Analytics applications to foster business engagement and Master Data Governance.
  • Review Business programs, objectives, and data to identify areas of additional value within existing applications.
  • Confer with leadership to review achievements and discuss required changes in portfolio strategies utilized in achieving business goals or objectives.
  • Demonstrate an ability to think beyond the Analytics technology itself and understand key business drivers that ensure Analytics applications will provide expected value.
  • Support the overall Analytics department vision of enhancing business execution through leveraging our data intelligently.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. 
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing (preferably Automotive).
  • Proven experience in creating and executing large Digital projects.
  • Prior experience in Analytics, from project scoping through end user support.
  • Prior experience in process design, data mining
  • Knowledge and curiosity to stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies within the Data & Analytics space.
  • Jira, Confluence, Office suite
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a global matrixed organization and communicate at all levels

What is Nice to Have

  • Ability to assimilate information quickly, efficiently, and accurately from varying sources.
  • Program Management skills and tools
  • Analytical tools; Qlik Sense, Snowflake
  • Experience in Process Mining preferably Celonis

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 20%, domestic and international travel
  • This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the Novi/Stamford office location required
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
