Job Description:

Citrix is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the product strategy for our SaaS based offering in the Access security portfolio. This role will have ownership of the product management aspects of Access security offerings, including positioning, definition including product requirements documents, evangelizing, roadmap planning, packaging, and work with Product Marketing on pricing and sales tools. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or computer science background both academically and in practice, coupled with strong interest and experience in cloud-based security and networking products.

Required Skills

  • Manage entire product life-cycle from inception to release
  • Strong working knowledge of network security and security technologies
  • Strong communication skills including written and presentation skills
  • Ability to dive into technical details with engineering and define requirements, prioritize product backlogs and define roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage the Product Lifecycle for responsible establishing and maintaining FedRAMP, SOC 2 and ISMS aligned with ISO27001 and ISO 27018 certifications
  • Develop a long-term vision and product strategy for on-going certifications required to address markets based on current and anticipated trends
  • Drive Prioritization of Products and Solutions of Certifications based on business needs, and competitive movement.
  • Drive strategic initiatives for Citrix’s continued leadership in the certifications space, including representing Citrix at various forums
  • Lead, and in close partnership with other product leads, the product development process involved from conception to release for all major and minor launches
  • Influence the Product Development and R&D teams in understanding overall product strategy.
  • Drive and own the product requirements process while working collaboratively with key stakeholders to prioritize and validate technology, features, product direction and strategy.
  • Conduct market and customer research regarding product acceptance, usage and success and integrate results directly into the product strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and identify key areas of competitive differentiation, as well as identify disruptive opportunities.
  • Contribution to product collateral, white papers, and presentations.
  • Working closely with the Program Management teams, ensure clear communications of status, and provide solitions to ensure velocity is maintained.

Requirements

  • A love of standards! Demostrating leadership that shows compliance is a necessary cornerstone of best practices
  • Experience owning a SaaS product line ideally in the networking and/or security space with a good understanding of the security buyer persona
  • Experience in one or more markets and technology spaces: Access security, web filtering, DLP, secure web gateway, cloud-based visibility and control products, network and application firewalls, CASB, Identity and Access management.
  • Understanding of SaaS applications and solutions such as Salesforce, Office 365, Dropbox, ServiceNow, Workday, etc.
  • Strong customer empathy
  • Demonstrated ability to document research findings, market analysis, and product requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated strong, structured and data-driven problem-solving skills that require solutions for cross-functional matters.
  • Experience presenting to wide ranging audiences, including internal stakeholders, Webinars, trainings, customer visits, trade shows and industry events.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to coordinate various creative, technical, and administrative projects across the broader Citrix organization; Ability to work with and lead cross functional teams in a matrix organization without authority.
  • Ability to present technical information to a variety of audience, both technical and non-technical.

Required Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Consulting, or other relevant business areas.
  • Have driven FedRamp, ISO, SOC 2, HIPAA or other compliance efforts in a large enterprise environment within the last 3 years.
  • Over 5 years of product management experience in cloud security software with a minimum of 2 years in SaaS based offerings
  • Experience with management of product launches and software release in large organizations is required
  • Experience guiding research – customer, market or competitive – for a significant business line or product set.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; MBA preferred
  • Familiarity with Citrix products is a plus+
