Overview

First Citizens Bank Equipment Finance provides leasing and equipment financing solutions to small businesses and middle market companies in a wide range of industries on both a private label and direct basis. We provide financing solutions for our borrowers and lessees, and assist manufacturers and distributors in growing sales, profitability, and customer loyalty by providing customized, value-added finance solutions to their commercial clients.

This position facilitates growth and profitability goals for the Equipment Finance through an individual marketing and business development plan. Identifies sales opportunities for existing and prospective clients through sales management and calling programs and determines the best product or service to meet business needs. The primary purpose of this position is to hunt, establish, develop, and grow manufacturer and large dealer relationships in the United States. This person oversees generating profitable transactions for new business volume and being the initial primary person for these relationships with the responsibility for all aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Sales - Develops a business banking sales plan to achieve monthly sales and profitability objectives. Utilizes the Bank's prescribed process, methods, and tools throughout a variety of sales and marketing activities including telemarketing and outside sales calls. Maintains pipeline of new business opportunities to acquire accounts.
  • Client Service - Provides information, answers inquiries, and resolves issues for clients concerning Bank products and services. works with internal associates to resolve.
  • Relationship Development - Establishes a rapport with clients to identify business needs and leverage sales opportunities. Maintains productive relationships with all bank counterparts, bringing sales partners into client relationships as needed to manage the total financial services relationship.
  • Business Support - Supports Bank initiatives and business strategies. Identifies tools or methods to enhance service and referral performance. Manages risk related to deposit products, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations, and maintaining a strong product knowledge base.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree
  • 3 years minimum experience in a consultative business development role with a bank, independent finance company or captive finance company with demonstrated success/growth.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel as required.
  • Very strong organizational/analytical skills
  • Very strong written-verbal communication/presentation/public speaking skills
  • Broad contract negotiation/relationship management skills
