Summary

Engineering Intern/Co-op : Reliability/FA Engineering May-Aug/Sept

In this role, you will be working with Product reliability and quality teams responsible for validating electronics performance and isolating defectivity and determining root cause and mitigation. Our products are used in a wide range of technology industries including EV, solar, cellular communication, and advanced wireless RF electronics.

Key Areas of workload/Contribution

Devise and execute parametric and RF test including Bench test emulation with digital and RF test fixtures while utilizing various parametric and RF benchtop test equipment. Data analysis skills and exposure to troubleshooting electronic components including semiconductor chips, surface mount components, printed circuit boards and wire-bond and flip chip modules will be introduced. Key failure analysis tools such as XRAY-CTand various microscopes including Acoustic, IR, NIR and emissions are utilized. Lastly various de-processing tools involving Plasma, lasers and chemicals will be introduced.

Other key aspects of the position

You should have excellent written and oral communication skills and should be comfortable in reporting and presenting technical concepts and lab results We foster a culture of accountability and promote creative problem-solving; therefore, being resourceful and having great initiative will enable success in this position.

You should have a disciplined approach to your work. We track and administer our work using task management tools and other collaboration tools to properly document lab work plans and work outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

Must be attending for undergraduate or graduate degree in EE, CE, or equivalent

Strong understanding of electrical circuit fundamentals and operation.

Basic understanding of digital and RF semiconductor fundamentals.

Preferable Skills

Coursework or experience with digital and RF test equipment and measurements.

Coursework or experience with electrical failure analysis and physical failure analysis tools and concepts

A great attitude with an eagerness to learn and the ability to adapt to new technical challenges.

Printed circuit board and chip design schematic capture and layout software tools.
