You are the trusted advisor of selected strategic customers to support them getting most out of their Software and Cloud investments, leveraging a virtual team of account manager, architects and delivery. 

The role is reporting into the Head of Strategic Customer Advisory as a part of the Service Leadership team.

The role

The role is about...

  • Being a part of a new team taking care of our strategic customers in DACH. Identifying and selecting your customers from our existing portfolio, you are acting as a Senior Consulting Partner. 
  • Having Account-Manager, Specialists for our portfolio products, Architects, Project-/Service-Manager and Delivery at your fingertips, it is all about building relationships through strategic customer advisory and translating customer requirements into projects or services
  • Having access to all SoftwareOne capabilities you make sure to establish yourself as a trusted advisor and serve your customers. 
  • Dealing with a broad portfolio of Advisory and Managed service (Cloud & Application Services, Workplace, Data & AI, SAP, Portfolio Management, ITAM, Souring and Software Reselling) this role is supporting our sales organization providing solutions rather than products based on our standard portfolio and capabilities. Whereas, the task is to identify and structure requirements, and not to design detailed solutions, which is carried out by architects and pre-sales. 
  • Growing your accounts and taking on additional customers requires you to enable colleagues and build a team organically as well as through acquisition. Being a leader and a mentor will be a crucial part of your role once you have established your first success. 
  • Being at the front of SoftwareOne’s business you act as a voice of the market and feed back requirements to our service development team. 
  • Working in delivery with a role measured on new and recurring revenue, this role is embedded in a matrix between sales and delivery, providing a lot of opportunities, but also requires political intelligence. 

What we need to see from you

You are… 

  • a true consultant: Your analytical thinking, strong social competency and highly structured approach makes you the perfect candidate in creating conceptional plans together with our clients, sales and delivery on a strategic and tactical level. The combination of your strategic mindset, advisory / consultant mentality it is very easy for you to visualize concepts and put them on paper in Microsoft: Word, Excel and Power Point. With your strong ability to listen to customers (internally and externally) you can easily translate customer requirements to create bespoke solutions. Your problem solving skills and self-motivated drive for highly qualitative results help you to make account teams more effective. Being effective and successful, high communication and presentation skills are a necessity. At the same time, you are keen to learn and improve your ability to solve complex tasks or initiatives. Therefore constantly overachieve business and project targets. 
  • experienced in IT Service Management: You have expertise in building, maintaining & leading a professional as well as managed service delivery business on a local or global scale in IT. You have a good IT technical background with solid service management and ITIL/ITSM experience of more than 10 years. You have a solid understanding in core IT business processes and its associated service business management. You are familiar with services of the main Hyperscaler like AWS, Azure, GCP and rudimentary knowledge around licensing and Software procurement. 
  • intrinsic motivated: You are still thirsty to accomplish the next level of your career without compromising on quality, with avoiding politics, keeping a strong focus on costs and profitability. As well as excelling in an unsupervised environment. You are used to work in matrix organizations and know how to lead teams in such environments. You enjoy a dynamic work environment, balancing challenging workloads and deadlines with attention to deliverables. 
  • fluent in English and German in reading, writing and speaking will lead you to an excellent path of success, while you communicate your ability to demonstrate persuasive and assertive behavior when dealing with internal and external clientele. 
  • familiar with large customer environments: which allows you to navigate seamless in complex environments being aware of political situations and pitfalls and support our stakeholders to be saucerful. 
  • bringing the right attitude: You’ve worked in small and big companies but you’ve always delivered your best work in an entrepreneurial, growth environment but using the standard consulting methodologies and tools. You take great pride in delivering Customer Satisfaction (internally and externally) and Employee Satisfaction in your teams is paramount. Integrity is important to you but the big corporate machines don’t really interest you. You’re deeply Passionate about what you do but Humble enough to keep learning and recognize the importance of collaborating with your team and colleagues. You’ve got great Discipline but can still work at Speed and love creating tangible results.
