Department Description

This role will sit within the Asia Pacific ex Japan Digital Propositions and Partnership team and report into the Head of Digital Propositions and Partnerships, Asia Pacific (ex Japan). Fidelity manages total asset of US$103.8 billion (as at 2020/12/31) on behalf of clients in the Asia Pacific ex Japan region, gathered through our Intermediary, Institutional, Defined Contribution and Personal Investing channels. The region operates in 7 countries/jurisdictions: Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Middle East, Korea, Singapore and China with the regional hub being located in Hong Kong.

Purpose of the Role

The role supports Fidelity International’s regional business development strategy to grow our business and presence in all areas related to FinTech, digital finance, digital assets, innovations and digital partnerships. Additionally, an important part is to ensure that we provide the best client experience to our clients through different online platforms operated by traditional financial institutions and leading E-Commerce players by leveraging our investment capabilities, content & tools and thought leadership materials.

The individual will be responsible for leading some programmes and projects of the digital strategy, aiming to raise assets with leading digital platforms or partnerships. The individual is required to fostering strong working relationship across = Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Change Management, Technology, Digital Solutions, Legal, and Compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the digital-led business development strategy for Asia Pacific x Japan distribution business by fostering strong working relationship across Sales Heads, Marketing, Client Services, Change Management, Technology, Digital Solutions, Legal and Compliance teams, and external partners.
  • Lead the Digital Distribution programme, across product development, marketing and sales to strengthen relationships with digital players and grow Fidelity’s assets’ growth with digital channels.
  • Lead the Augmented Sales programme aiming to leverage SalesForce and build artificial intelligence capabilities for sales.
  • Contribute to the Web3.0/Digital Assets strategy along with global stakeholders. Specifically with Distribution lead partnership projects on tokenization and metaverse strategy
  • Management and coordination of Digital Distribution and Innovation governance for APAC and represent the team, as required in global governance meetings.
  • Work with the Head of the team and Strategic investments team in the region to drive the value into FIL from the portfolio investments.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of marketplace and competitive landscape in the digital assets and partnership areas.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • At least 7 years of professional experience in the asset management and Financial Services consulting industry
  • Demonstrable application of strategic thinking within asset management, with experience in business analysis, strategy development, business case development and change management
  • In-depth knowledge on the asset management’s distribution landscape, client segments and market trends
  • Relevant knowledge of the rules and regulations governing asset management and intermediary sales most preferred

Proven Planning and Implementation skills across large and complex projects

  • Proven experience to lead highly complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders

Dynamic “can do” attitude with a strong desire to make things happen

  • Experience of mobilising, structuring and generating momentum
  • Ability to deal successfully with ambiguity, work in fast paced environment and draw out the issues to be addressed
  • Organised with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; growth mindset
  • Fluent in English with outstanding communication skills, Asian language is a plus
