CalPERS seeks a Staff Program Auditor in the Office of Audit Services, in the Internal Audit Unit.
Under the supervision of the Staff Management Auditor, the Staff Program Auditor is the lead auditor and conducts internal audits and reviews of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) .The reviews are preformed accurately and completely in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards). The incumbent is expected to pursue a course of continuing professional education as prescribed by the Standards. Furthermore, the incumbent is expected to adhere to appropriate professional ethics as prescribed by the Standards and CalPERS core values when performing the duties and responsibilities of the position.

1. Describe your specific experience and education that makes you a viable candidate for this position. Describe the types of audits, reviews, or other complex projects that you have conducted.
2. Describe your experience and knowledge of audit standards – or International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) Attributer Standards, Performance Standards, Supervision and Review, and Assessing Risk.
3. Describe your experiences reviewing audit work-papers, leading the work of others, and training new auditors.
4. Describe your experience in preparing written reports and oral presentations of recommendations to management.
5. Describe how you organize and prioritize multiple projects to ensure you are able to meet deadlines.
