Scope:

  • The Senior IT Manager will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and direction to our global IT Infrastructure and Unified Communications and Collaborations (UCC) operations team. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of IT services and solutions that align with and support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

What you'll do:

  • Lead day-to-day global L3/L4 operations management on server, compute (OnPrem and Cloud), network and backup infrastructure along with O365.
  • Manage the deploy and maintenance of Windows, Unix, Linux, VMware systems in OnPrem and MS Azure environment.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders including Product owners, Engineering, and internal IT teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate IT infrastructure related risks, including cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met. Ensure on-time renewal of all licenses/contracts.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and processes to improve IT operations and increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and leads various initiatives to enhance service delivery levels for operational effectiveness.
  • Participates in the development and management of the department budget and allocating resources effectively and optimizing IT investments.
  • Works with senior leadership and Architecture and Engineering team in the planning, development, and execution of short term and long-term goals.
  • Developing processes to streamline and drive team to automate routine tasks.
  • Researching and assessing any capital equipment needs.
  • Delivering or exceeding performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Assisting in writing technical documentation and work instructions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry and recommend innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Managing vulnerabilities and implementing effective patch management processes.
  • Manage IT Infrastructure key metrics like availability, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time to Recovery, Mean Time to Repair while participating and providing the timely support during the bridge calls.
  • Flexible to work with overlap with global stakeholders.
  • Conduct RCA and implement corrective actions to prevent future major incidents.
  • Lead and develop the global IT infrastructure operations team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Greater than 15 years of combined related work experience and minimum of 5 years experience in a management role.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows operating systems, VMware, Network, Backup and Storage experience with supporting and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Strong technical experience with IT Infrastructure, systems administration, platform sizing, capacity planning and infrastructure cost reduction.
  • Exposure to IP Telephony and Video Conferencing technology
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated agility and responsiveness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight periodic reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to meet or exceed team goals.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of industry trends and best practices in infrastructure and UCC areas.
  • Experience in Microsoft technologies – MS Azure, Azure AD & O365.
  • Experience working in virtual and remote teams.
  • Knowledge of Information Security regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Network switching, routing, firewalls and MPLS circuits
  • Experience in HW & SW Support renewals in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Strong focus on people development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent working knowledge of cloud-based systems, security protocols, and network and systems administration.
  • Demonstrated strategic and impactful leadership with global support teams in highly collaborative environments.
  • Knowledge in infrastructure automation tools like Ansible & Python.
  • Good knowledge of ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
  • Good understanding of monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds, ELK and Splunk.
  • Good understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines and AWX.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma and ITIL are preferred.
  • Provides a positive and open working environment.
  • Basic Knowledge of Palo Alto SDWAN & Prisma
  • Knowledge in Cloud Technologies – Private, Public, Hybrid, IaaS+, PaaS, SaaS
