The Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for the logistical support for the Financial Operations Group (FOG). This role will focus on creating and maintaining culture, communicating on behalf of the entire team and ensuring overall excellence in day to day needs of the team.

The Finance Team partners with the organization to facilitate the financial reporting needs of Life.Church, including payroll, accounts payable, giving operations, accounting, forecasting, and data analytics. We equip the organization with the tools needed to plan for, understand, and steward the resources God has provided for our ministry.

This role is responsible for providing operational and administrative support in coordination with their team’s efforts to further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the gatekeeper for the Financial Operations Group (FOG) leadership team so they can give their time and energy to the things that matter most. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all FOG staff to better anticipate and understand needs, advocate on behalf of leaders and team members, and bring perspective. 
  • Assist in project management, plan team events and offsite meetings, prepare for meetings, manage calendars and inboxes, prepare expense reports, arrange travel for the FOG leadership team, and inventory supplies. 
  • Support the interview and screening process for staff applicants. 
  • Onboard staff, interns, and volunteers to the FOG, casting vision for team axioms and culture.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment and management, including communication, appreciation, and team coordination. 
  • Assist in drafting internal and external training and communication, being mindful of audiences, agendas, and content. 

Skills Needed to Succeed

  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects. 
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience.
