Boeing Global Services Germany is looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d) based in our Digital Solutions & Analytics Innovation Lab in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt.

You will be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT), leading the design and innovation of new software solutions for use in airline and airport operations worldwide. Those software solutions encompass two product lines which you will lead. The first line is the dynamic and data driven composition and depiction of Jeppesen’s aviation map for interactive web-applications and an internal and external customer base (Jeppesen Map Kit Web SDK). The second product line looks at modern cloud-based data services and analytics, to expand on Boeing’s API-Economy (Aero Insight). Both product lines are in the introductory and early growth phase of a product life cycle and focus on worldwide market and customer-oriented expansion. This includes a market driven extension of the existing MVP feature set, based on specific user & buyer persona demands and constraints.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business opportunities to define and lead product innovation
  • Analyze and understand targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment
  • Deeply understand the customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Lead product innovations and new products through the product lifecycle from inception to market launch and product maintenance
  • Apply standard processes from Pragmatic Marketing and Scaled Agile Framework to lead business and market driven software development projects
  • Develop product roadmaps and project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies with product marketing
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with product development in software development and validate early product definitions and proof-of-concepts with customers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Diploma / MS in Computer Science and/or MBA with IT
  • 3+ years of experience in product development/management, program management and/or financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years aviation software or data service product development experience helpful
  • Experience presenting and communicating ideas to key team members across businesses
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Knowledge of international aviation regulations and airline operations requirements and/or pain points appreciated
