You will be working as HR Operations Delivery Manager – ELC at global grade 11 and reporting to HR Operations Hub Delivery Lead AMEA & NAM based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be leading a team of 50 people and take full accountability for the end-to-end Employee Life Cycle Management process, delivering high-quality services against globally agreed performance targets. Ensuring a high degree of customer experience and driving its further enhancement. As part of the HR Operations organization, the HR Operations Delivery Manager supports the execution of the Global / Regional Roadmap and deliverables as well as further optimization of HR processes in close collaboration with the Global HR Service Lines. Demonstrates organizational awareness beyond his/her area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to developing the HR Operations Strategy and Roadmap and is committed to implementing the same. Planning the development of the operations and further refines the operating model and organizational structure
  • Collaborating with other HR Operations Managers, HR Delivery Leads and HR Front Office Managers to achieve further efficiencies and to ensure consistency of management approaches. committing to building / strengthening ABB's brand recognition in the markets
  • Taking accountability for end-to-end HR Operations across all supported locations. Delivering services according to signed-off processes, KPIs and quality targets. Ensuring all HR processes incorporate appropriate control mechanisms, including 4-eye-check / SOX checks, data protection and country legal/regulatory compliance tasks
  • Ensuring a high degree of customer orientation. Driving the enhancement of the Customer Experience Journey, analyzing received customer feedback and driving actions accordingly.
  • Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with key stakeholders like HR Operations Front Office, Country HR Managers, HRBPs, HR Expert Services/Corporate, other representatives and other stakeholders
  • Driving people management strategy of HR Operations for a Hub and leading by example and the required cultural sensitivity. Setting targets and managing performance for direct reports. Collaborating with other HR Operations Managers to develop further efficiencies and to ensure consistency of management approaches
  • Developing bench strength and succession plans for key roles within the team, understands the retention of individual top performers and takes appropriate action. Encouraging and supporting staff movements across organizational boundaries
  • Working closely with HR Service Line Leads, Expert Services/Corporate and other HR service delivery teams to implement lean approaches to deliver efficiencies through process improvements, standardization and/or automation

Your background

  • Postgraduate / bachelor’s degree in any stream
  • At least 12 plus years of experience in HR Shared Services in a global organization with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a People manager
  • Ability to manage a team size of 25 plus members and to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, high-transaction team environment
  • Hands-on experience in SAP and Workday knowledge will be advantageous. Ability to manage multiple demands on time and work with cross-functional teams
  • High degree of structure and self-organization, deadline focused. Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
