The salary range for this role, based in New York is $103,200.00 to $141,900.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The Manager, Marketing Effectiveness, is supporting a new era of performance measurement and investment strategy at PRUSA. The manager will be responsible for managing high priority USA initiatives touching media, A&P investment strategy, and company / brand performance. The successful candidate will need experience in socializing advanced analytics (preferably MMM), preparing deep insights from raw numbers, and in managing complex projects( multiple teams, multiple locations, multiple stakeholders, 20+ data sources).

Supporting this candidate will be a network of other teams and agencies. 

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Working with the Director, manage the Marketing Effectiveness for Pernod’s portfolio of brands, identifying marketing optimization recommendations for the CMO office and brand teams
  • Manage all aspects of a USA program for A&P performance measurement and optimization, from driving for quality analytics to communicating the results to collaborating with a global team driving similar programs in other markets
  • Lead the data management process to ensure near perfect data is feeding our models. Improve the efficiency of the data refresh process, saving effort in the US market
  • In partnership with the Director, design and manage a world class measurement program, including marketing mix modeling, media attribution, category share, AB testing, digital optimization delivering 20% improvements in marketing effectiveness across Pernod’s portfolio

Nature & Scope

  • The Marketing Effectiveness team reports to the VP of Strategy, Insights & Analytics.
  • The Marketing Effectiveness team leads Marketing Effectiveness in the USA market:
  • By recommending optimal investments by brand/touchpoint
  • by socializing learnings across the enterprise
  • by expanding scope and capabilities of marketing effectiveness analytics
  • by supporting education and best practices, leveraging learnings from Warc and the ARF.
  • This team is supported by an insourced data science team in Paris, who run all the models and prepare the model outputs. This team transforms excel output in strong stories with compelling recommendations that are shared with all of Marketing and the C-Suite.
  • The Manager, Marketing Effectiveness will be responsible for preparing analytic insights, scoping new analytic work, and managing the data refresh process. As a result, this individual must have deep experience in using and applying advance advanced analytics methodologies to drive business impact.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); advanced degree preferable
  • Experience / Background: 
  • 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics and socializing the learnings (machine learning, MMM, etc.) in CPG industry
  • 3+ years paid media analytics and reporting
  • Able to prepare compelling presentations with strong storytelling
  • Able to collaborate well with internal data science team virtually (data science team based in Paris)
  • Able to collaborate with various stakeholders from motivating data owners to provide perfect data to creating presentations with aligned messaging
  • Able to manage complex projects, with internal and external stakeholders, and with many interdependencies
  • Derive insights from data investigations and write relevant reports to key stakeholders
