Job Summary:

Tuvli, an Akima company, is hiring for a Knowledge Management Support Specialist to support our DoS client located in Washington, DC.

RCSO does outstanding, often innovative, and difficult work, and is making intentional efforts to become a stronger learning organization. An accessible, comprehensive knowledge management (KM) system that can adapt to organizational changes and help maintain institutional memory and learning is an essential component in helping us learn from past successes and failures.

The Knowledge Management Support Specialist will work within the Office of Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation (DME), and with other offices in CSO, including the Executive Office (EX) Information Technology team to shape a resilient KM system that will make accessible essential knowledge and learning related to lessons learned and best practices, past diplomatic efforts, foreign assistance programs, grants and contracts, thematic areas of expertise, standard operating procedures, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessment of CSO’s KM needs. Inventory CSO’s existing knowledge repositories. Analyze needs and challenges and develop proposal that outlines KM options for leadership consideration, including types of platforms available, ease of use, and flexibility to adapt to organizational change.
  • Develop KM implementation plan, including phased approach, timeline for completion, division of labor, and process for creating buy-in and understanding for users across the bureau.
  • Inform CSO staff and external audiences about CSO’s knowledge sharing initiatives, through written updates, drafting standard operating procedures, delivering briefings and/or trainings, and other helpful methods.
  • Lead implementation of new system(s) in partnership with EX/IT team, including handling of heritage KM systems.
  • Establish libraries for CSO program files and for learning/best practices library/libraries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by government task manager or COR.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter: demonstrated ability to understand the underlying objective of a project, identify necessary steps to achieve it, and carry it through to completion.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use the most current Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to learn the Bureau and Office's mission programs, goals, objectives, and substantive issues monitored by CSO in order to effectively organize, categorize and tag documents.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing knowledge management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or above, Microsoft Teams, and other content management systems.
  • Experience with Office 365 tools and resources.

Posted Salary Range

$78,000 to $87,000
