Job Description

This is a remote position.

Our Transformation & Digital Advisory Practice teams help organizations of all kinds execute on their visions for the future. We focus on high-impact engagements, ensuring that vision and strategy are translated into executable initiatives and tangible business outcomes. Our teams transcend the expected to help clients achieve transformative results.

An FQA Product Owner’s main objective is to represent the best interests of our clients in determining, designing and shepherding digital and operational solutions. Our product owners lead the definition, prioritization and evaluation of solutions to help maximize business value. The role is highly collaborative, requiring regular communication with business stakeholders, developers, architects, operations, and other product teams. Product Owners work to understand high-level business requirements by conducting customer interviews, analyzing user data, workshopping with business stakeholders, and/or working with their Product Managers to understand roadmap goals/strategy. They work to distill these high-level requirements into a backlog of easy-to-understand user stories that enable the development team to know what problems need to be solved and how to build the right solution. They also drive the development backlog priority and facilitate tactical planning on how to sequence work based on what will drive end-user value. At FQA, you’ll work in a highly collaborative environment focused on driving results for our clients across a variety of project types from strategy to execution.

Requirements

  • Experience in projects within the payer (health insurance) industry is highly preferred. This may include working on projects in any of the following major business processes and/or lines of businesses:

o Quote to Card

o Rating & Underwriting

o Enrollment & Member Experience

o Product implementation & setup

o Benefit coding and Benefit determination

o Claims adjudication and administration

o Clinical operations (healthcare management – care & utilization management)

o Call center operations and solutions

o Producer & Broker administration

o Mobile apps for health insurance member & provider engagement

o Medicare/Medicaid lines of business

o Commercial/Individual lines of business

  • Preferred 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Project Manager in implementing digital solutions.
  • Experience in all phases of product, software, and testing life cycles
  • Strong investigative, analytical and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Solid knowledge in software delivery: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP and Lean; Agile certifications a plus.
  • Able to purposefully identify risks, and drive action to mitigate and resolve issue
  • Experience leading all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, review, demo, and stand-up sessions
  • Experience leading design thinking workshops to drive requirements & design
  • Working understanding of cloud, AI/ML and digital transformation concepts
