Senior Manager Communications & PR (m/f/x)

The position:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager Communications & PR (f/m/x) able to work on all aspects of corporate communications with internal and external target groups. 

You are the first point of contact and Business Partner for our Oncology Business Division including all aspects of communications with the exception of Product Communication: consultancy, development of ideas and strategic communications plans, day-to-day operations, implementation of activities/ campaigns, senior management communications internally and e.g. on social media. You will furthermore lead for cross-functional projects and topics within the Corporate Communications team.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Business partner for corporate communications for our European Oncology Business Division
  • Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies for the Oncology Business Division, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Actively engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders incl. the Product Communications team to gather insights, ensuring effective communication strategies that resonate with diverse teams.
  • Lead the ideation and implementation of creative communication campaigns.
  • Be part of a cross-functional team for crisis communication strategy and the execution of rapid response plans when needed.
  • Continuously assess and improve internal communication processes.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors' communication strategies, providing recommendations for staying ahead in a dynamic market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure the seamless integration of communication efforts with other organizational initiatives.
  • Drive social media initiatives, leveraging platforms for effective communication and brand promotion.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of communication materials, ensuring consistency and alignment with the company's brand guidelines.

Professional experience & education:

  • Completed university studies or - in exceptional cases - equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a communications consultant or manager in a PR agency and/or other organization
  • Strong consultancy skills
  • High level (business fluent) of written and verbal communication skills in both English and German obligatory
  • Strong writing skills for all relevant text forms and required tonalities
  • Ability to get quickly acquainted with complex topics and to communicate these to different target groups 
  • Experience with external stakeholders, incl. media representatives
  • Experience with digital channels incl. social media and a strong interest to continuously develop in this area 
  • Preferably experience in the specific communication environment characteristic for the pharmaceutical industry
  • Preferably experience with content management systems (e.g. Typo3, Sharepoint)
  • Ability to work with all levels of our organization as well as different cultures
  • Confident appearance, ability to convince others, strong presentation skills, willingness to play a visible role in our organisation
  • High degree of personal responsibility and sense of ownership while being an integral part of a small team
  • Hands-on mentality combined with the ability to develop new approaches
