Description

 

West Corporation is currently seeking an Internal Auditor to support our Internal Audit team at our corporate headquarters in Omaha, NE. Internal Audit (IA) at West Corporation is a dedicated group of audit professionals focused on delivering top quality assurance services in support of our Enterprise Risk Management Program while acting as a trusted advisor to the business. IA professionals operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value added opinions and recommendations in a challenging atmosphere for both personal growth and professional opportunity.   The Internal Auditor is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects, including coordination and testing of external audit activities. Each audit assignment enables the candidate to demonstrate business, technical and industry knowledge while assessing business risks, identifying key controls, and performing risk-based testing that leverages data analytics.   The Internal Auditor will also facilitate knowledge sharing of best practices and industry trends to team members, and contribute to thought leadership activities within the IA team. The candidate will work independently, with guidance from Audit Management as needed and is expected to maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards. Responsibilities Include:

Perform assigned major components of financial, operational, technical, or integrated applications audits, while adhering to audit best practices, as well as corporate and departmental policies and procedures As assigned, design and perform appropriate audit procedures in completing tasks related to risk assessments of Enterprise business activities and engagement planning Establish and maintain good auditee relations during all engagements by identifying the expectations of the auditee and taking actions to support the auditee through the experience As necessary participate in the development and maintenance of the annual audit schedule, including special information assurance audits Work both independently and with various cross-functional teams to manage audit projects and processes Deliver appropriate, succinct, and organized information, while tailoring communication style to reporting audience

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in auditing, accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is required.  Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience

Minimum one year auditing, information systems, or accounting experience required

Other

Certified or working toward a professional certification such as a CISA, CIA or CPA is preferred Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required A functional understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements Familiarity with the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) Common understanding of information technology general controls and IT application controls Up to 15% travel may be required   West is connecting people and ideas.
