About the Role

FTI Consulting’s Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) Dispute Advisory services include arbitration, litigation, mediation, risk analysis, settlement negotiation, and associated analytical support. Our experts have testified in hundreds of proceedings on a broad range of technical and financial areas across the engineering, operations and regulation of wireline and wireless service providers, satellite companies, broadband spectrum holders, and media & entertainment companies.

What You’ll Do

A Director in TMT Dispute Advisory is responsible for managing, processing, and analyzing information to develop solutions for external clients, whether related to disputes or other TMT-related engagements.

  • Perform quantitative and statistical analyses and conduct studies as required by internal and external clients
  • Develop and manage database systems from large datasets
  • Prepare written testimony and supporting documentation
  • Utilize geographic information systems to analyze spatial relationships within and between networks
  • Assist others in defining data requirements for various efforts
  • Communicate findings with clients and external stakeholders including presentation preparation

Our professionals also have vast experience providing litigation services, including expert witness testimony, dispute analysis, economic analysis, and valuations. This team of professionals specializes in strategic, financial and operational matters attendant to all sectors of the communications and media industries. FTI Consulting’s TMT practice has long been at the center of the converging telecom and entertainment industries and of the technologies that have given rise to profound change, challenges and opportunities. We partner with companies, their stakeholders, and legal counsel to provide strategic, operational, financial and dispute advisory services to protect and enhance enterprise value. We leverage advanced data analytics capabilities to deliver original insights that help clients better understand company performance, customer behavior, digital substitution, emerging technologies, evolving trends and industry norms. Over the last 20+ years we have assisted in thousands of engagements for hundreds of the largest companies in the TMT space.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related degree
  • 5+ years post graduate relevant experience
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed 
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with analytical software, including databases, spreadsheets, geographical information systems, Python, and SQL
  • Experience with econometrics or statistics and associated tools
  • The ability to communicate succinctly both orally and in writing
