Ford is in the middle of a supply chain transformation. One of the key focus areas is to enable transparency by implementing supply collaboration technology solutions that bring visibility to the extended, multi-tier supply chain, enable Ford to collaborate with supply chain partners in balancing capacity and forecast, and ensure constraints and risks are efficiently mitigated to ensure minimal production disruptions.

We are looking for a Qlik Software Developer to be part of the N-Tier Supply Chain Integration IT group. You will work in an end-to-end product management delivery model with product owners, product designers, data engineers, and software developers to develop and deliver next-gen analytics innovation in supply chain management. 

With an end-to-end view, duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Focus on Qlik software development to support the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders and suppliers today and tomorrow.
  • There is an opportunity to gain immense multi-functional experience working with teams across the enterprise to solve complex problems.
  • Collaborate with other Supply Chain workstreams and enterprise ecosystems to achieve integrations across multiple systems.
  • Working with the vendor team to understand the capabilities of SaaS applications to enable end-to-end business processes through configuration and integration.

What you’ll be able to do:

  • As the Qlik Software Developer within the Supply Chain space, you will collaborate with technical stakeholders such as data architects, data modelers, enterprise architects, project managers, and platform architects to implement the large-scale data analytics and BI solution.
  • Deliver automation and visualization consistent with Ford processes and standards.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into the BI data layer design to provide meaningful business insights based on BI best practices.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end design and development of Qlikview and Qlik sense-based reporting applications, including mockups. Strong development experience is required.
  • Analyze, design, and define new or re-engineered business processes to propose powerful analytics solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Qlikview/QlikSense system along with its development and maintenance.
  • Perform Qlikview/QlikSense upgrades and new installations; hence, you should be familiar with QMC.
  • Perform unit and integration testing and provide release management instructions through UAT and production environments.
  • Create reports with QlikView or QlikSense Nprinting
  • Ensure quality data creation, presentation, and data flow across systems.
  • Document on Qlikview/QlikSense data design and mappings

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of Qlik development experience
  • 3+ years writing complex SQL Queries, Dynamic queries, and database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and triggers as well as working with large data sets.
  • 3+ years utilizing various BI/reporting tools to build self-serve reports and analytic dashboards. 

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Advance Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field
  • Strong experience consuming data models, developing SQL, addressing data quality issues, proposing BI solution architecture, and articulating best practices in end-user visualizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and pivot tables to perform analysis on large datasets.
  • Experience applying AI and ML techniques to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities using Python and related technologies.
  • Experience with data analysis and data modeling is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
  • Ability to design and develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources.
  • Experience with Google cloud-based platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development best practices
  • Outstanding organization skills combined with critical thinking, problem-solving, and agile management tools to support team success.
  • Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where problems are not always well-defined.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinate with multiple stakeholders and define the scope of complex requirements.
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
  • Knowledge of the automotive supply chain is nice to have.
