Head of Advice Product Management

The Advice & Strategy Experience Team is a part of the Digital & Client Experiences business unit of TIAA. The Advice & Strategy Experience Team leads the Enterprise advice offer and client experience strategy of TIAA while strengthening enterprise advice measurement, methodology and delivery capabilities. This team is also responsible for driving execution of priorities that are on the advice roadmap by partnering closely with engineering, end-to-end experience product team, design, analytics, control functions, P&L owners, marketing, and investment product team. Ultimately, this team is measured on key outcomes, which is about helping our participants get on track to and through retirement. Reporting to the SMD, Head of Advice Strategy & Experiences, the MD, Head of Product Management is responsible for building the end-to-end advice experience, along with capabilities for In-Plan Advice, Wealth Planning, Financial Wellness and New Solutions Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead end-to-end advice journey experiences across Individual Advice, Wealth Planning, and Financial Wellness for all channels / touchpoints
  • Lead integration and collaboration with End-to-End journey teams
  • Leverage product tool kits like Research, Data & Insights, NPS, VoC as an input into enhancing the client experience
  • Lead product development and execution of the roadmap
  • Build and scale hypothesis-based product experimentation to get closer to our clients
  • Champion the client experience in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Drive seamless experience to drive engagement between a client and a Wealth Management Advisor through Planning
  • Build and maintain integrated business plans with clear targets, initiatives, resource requirements, and implementation plans across the audiences we serve
  • Translate long term plans into actionable 6 QTR roadmaps
  • Lead a team to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation and team development
  • Demonstrate acumen and expertise in full lifecycle product management

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of product management leadership in individual advice, wealth planning, and / or financial wellness
  • Demonstrated acumen and expertise in full lifecycle product management in an agile environment
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence in a matrixed environment while also generating credibility
  • Exceptional influencing skills with sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Proven analytical rigor, mindset, with relevant experience
  • Successful track record of building exceptional experiences, not just limited to digital
  • Ability to communicate a compelling vision and inspire others to deliver on an ambitious, complex roadmap
  • Champions a culture of high standards, pushes for progress, embraces change and challenges the status quo
  • Strong team management and team building skills. Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring managers and individual contributors, as well as developing talent and upgrading craft skills 

Base Pay Range: $262,600/yr. - $358,800/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
