Job Summary

We are actively seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with leadership and users, collaborating closely with a Lead UI/UX Designer, and contributing to the overall success of our user experience initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional user-centric designs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability to take direction and mentor Junior UX resources, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Lead UX Designer to ensure overall design strategy is implemented throughout projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Drive the creation of user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, considering both the strategic vision and user needs.
  • Conduct and oversee user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine designs based on user feedback.
  • Provide input into design processes and methodologies, ensuring consistency and best practices across projects.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations.

Expectations:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a UX design team, utilizing the Design Thinking methodology, and a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in Figma and working within a defined design system.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts to both team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset for approaching design challenges.
  • Comfortable receiving direction from a Lead UX Designer and aligning design efforts with broader strategic goals.

Education and Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX/UI design, Human-Computer Interaction, or 5+ years of experience in UX design with a focus on digital products or applications.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar design team roles.
  • Advanced experience in developing and working within an established design system.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies and their impact on design.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Skilled in the areas of research and analysis, persona and customer journey creation, ideation and brainstorming techniques, concept validation, and prototyping.
  • Skilled in discerning requirements and developing information architecture.
