We are looking for a strong Regional Security Systems Engineer who will ensure a coordinated and managed response to physical security system-related systems. This role will be responsible for providing system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle Health’s physical security solutions and services. This role will also provide incident mitigation for vulnerabilities, support business continuity exercises for our data center operations team, and build relationships with Oracle Health’s external vendors in the JAPAC region.

The role will always have a pulse on Oracle Health’s regional physical security systems and be accountable for direct collaboration and communication with the various GPS stakeholder partners in the region. The role will leverage excellence in communication, problem solving and attention to detail to methodically resolve issues. Technically, you will have a great understanding of Oracle Health’s physical security systems (Genetec and Software House), and you will manage system-related maintenance issues from inception to resolution. Furthermore, you will drive system upgrades and improvements, while engaging partner teams on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

  1. Reporting to the Senior Systems Program Manager for Oracle Health, provide system support for Oracle Health’s enterprise level access control, and video management systems. This role will also provide incident mitigation for vulnerabilities.
  2. Contributes to team effort by offering information and opinion as a member of a matrixed management environment.
  3. Accomplishes team objectives by establishing scopes of work, project timelines, and reviewing project progress.
  4. Responsible for assisting in the implementation of global physical security systems policy and guidelines. 
  5. Develops strong and productive relationships with the operations team, and external vendors.
  6. Communicate with professionalism and precision to internal stakeholders – both written and spoken.
  7. Conduct Postmortem reviews and After Action items at the conclusion of physical security projects. 
  8. Participate in the technological analysis related to the various Oracle Global Physical Security systems, and new industry security tools.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background

  1. Excellent interpersonal and coalition building skills with ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Team oriented
  2. Must be willing to work non-standard work shift (though primary shift is daytime) including evenings, holidays and weekends as the situation dictates
  3. Be able to travel internationally 10% of the time
  4. College diploma or university degree in a related field or 3-5+ years equivalent work experience with Software House CCURE 9000 access control system, and the Genetec video management system. A certificate in Network+ and Security + is highly preferred 
  5. Software House CCURE 9000 Level 1 and Level required, with Level 3 certification preferred.
  6. Genetec Security Center 5.x Omnicast (video) technical certification required.
  7. Excellence in verbal and written communication (English language). Ability to communicate with all management levels (both technical and management) during systems events
  8. Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
  9. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong customer service orientation
  10. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
