Job Title : Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Marketing – Commercial

Department : Commercial.

Short Brief on role:

Is Responsible for accurately updating, monitoring, and analyzing zonal commercial performance for CMA CGM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting functionally to the Marketing Manager - Pan India, the Deputy /Assistant Manager Marketing is responsible for accurately updating, monitoring, and analyzing zonal commercial performance for CMA CGM.
  • Using the knowledge of the assigned area, he/she also provides sales performance analysis per client and per service. In doing this, he/she will send his/her recommendations and action requests to the sales managers and / or area manager, and he/she is responsible for following up on sales actions.
  • As an analyst of the market, he/she will work on Market identification & commercial intelligence (assimilate local port / ICD statistics, customer & competition updates & key developments) and relay the same to all concerned stakeholders with his/her recommendations.
  • He/she supervises the correct implementation, effective utilization and strict adherence of sales and marketing tools & processes in the zone & branches. 
  • Will act as key user / Facilitator for respective Zone for Implementation of Corporate Tools such as NOVA BUSINESS, AQUA SPOTON / CONTRACTS, and all other existing / upcoming commercial Tools.
  • Focal point for local Marketing & communication initiatives in coordination with Marketing Manager-Pan India
  • Preparation of Presentations for Zonal commercial activities along with Spot studies / Add hoc reporting for Stakeholders.

Key Performance Standards

  • Provides accurate flow of information, analysis & actions required to ensure Zonal Management has all the relevant info at hand to devise commercial strategy.
  • All other Reports as per Timelines set by Management-
  • Ensure that Sales KPI / Usage of corporate tools are achieved for respective Zones.

Requirements and Specific Skills:

  • Min. graduate with 5 years of Shipping Experience
  • Well-Versed with agency liner operations or work exposure in a similar environment
  • Well versed with MS office tools specially – Advance Excel & PowerPoint
  • Good analytical skills, Flair for Research
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Proactive / Self-motivated
  • Must have an eye for details and ensure error free analysis and reports.
  • Programming knowledge will be added advantage.
