Job Description

This is a Hybrid work environment. Must be able to be in the office 3 days a week. 

The IT-CRM team at Western Digital is responsible for enabling our marketing, sales and support teams with cutting edge applications built on Salesforce platform. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Salesforce CRM Technical Lead who will be responsible for working with the business teams to build solutions that address multiple strategic business initiatives. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design scalable solutions using a combination of configuration and code to support business functions, knowing how to work in and around the limits of the platform 
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, including system landscape, ERD, integration sequence flows, data flows etc 
  • Coordinate with stakeholder teams and lead the design conversations to review use cases, goals, objectives, and architecture to support the business needs 
  • Guide technology/solution decisions with architecture and product teams for projects 
  • Lead technical design sessions with the development teams and own the technical execution for key initiatives during analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance 
  • Support and maintain current Salesforce instance, including the data model, coding best practices, user permissions, integrations with third-party and internal applications, security settings 
  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems, utilizing Salesforce APIs, middleware tools, and custom development 
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance, recommendations, and explanations as needed 
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of Analysts, Developers, and SMEs 
  • Stay current with emerging CRM and industry trends, best practices, and technologies. Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and automation to enhance the overall efficiency, performance, and user experience of Salesforce solutions 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience as a Salesforce Platform Developer/architecture experience with increasing levels of responsibility 
  • Demonstrable experience in designing complex implementations on Salesforce platform 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Lightning Experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura Components (LCP). 
  • Extensive experience in designing Custom Objects, Custom Fields, Page Layouts, Workflows, Validation Rules, Custom Reports and Email notifications according to application requirements 
  • Understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules) 
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards, and reports 
  • Thorough understanding of Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Support business processes 
  • Some familiarity with Agile project management and sprint planning 
  • Solid experience Integrating Salesforce with other SaaS, down-stream systems 
  • Solid experience with Experience cloud and communities 
  • Experience writing test classes and test methods to ensure code coverage. 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD for deployments 

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise: 

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification 
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification 
  • Salesforce Lightning Component Framework Specialist (Trailhead Super Badge) 
  • Salesforce Lightning Experience Specialist (Trailhead Super Badge) 
  • Working Knowledge of CRM platforms in addition to Salesforce
