About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer for Denim to lead our Lane Bryant denim design team. The Senior Designer will direct, build and develop product ideas for the denim category. Work closely with Technical Design, Sourcing Team, and Merchants to execute seasonal concept direction, line plan style needs, margin requirements, and completion of product. Continue to evolve Lane Bryant’s product process. Must have high taste level, ability to identify trends, bring newness to the table and translate concepts into wearable commercially appealing collection.

The impact you can have

  • Knowledge of customer needs/wants as well as current and emerging trends with the ability to translate into brand- right product, balancing core and fashion
  • Partner with R & D and Sourcing to research and develop core and key fabrications, trim, embellishment appropriate to the category. Initiate test recommendations on a seasonal and ongoing basis
  • Responsible for management/sketching of seasonal assortment, accurate seasonal tech pack execution, tech pack updates and line sheets per categories
  • Able to direct and mentor direct reports to create better understanding of Lane Bryant’s customer
  • Communicate design intent to team, Sourcing, TD, and Merchants

You’ll bring to the role

  • 7-10 years of experience in a design position
  • Extensive background in fit, fabric development, finishes and construction details
  • Prio PLM, Adobe Illustrator and Kaleidostyle experience preferred
  • International travel may be required

  • The target salary range for this role is: $115 - $120K*

This position works in a hybrid model, with three days per week worked in the New York, NY location and two days per week worked remotely.
