Software Test Engineer



The Software Test Engineer will be a part of the Quality Engineering group supporting core platform frontend and back-office applications testing. You will have the opportunity to design and build test frameworks for platform products and develop automation scripts to increase regression testing productivity. You will identify application related issues in the applications and systems and present your findings to the teams in the organization to ensure app quality. You will be exposed to a broader set of problems, understanding customer experience, platform modernization, migrations, new product initiatives, improving product performance, and optimizing environments. There will be an opportunity to build test procedures with the latest feasible tools and techniques and establish the test automation process to improve testing productivity. This is a largely cross functional opportunity working with software product, development, architecture, cloud operations and support teams.


  • Accountable for the successful launch and delivery of new, key Accela Product Releases, Engineering Initiatives, alignment for Cloud deployments activities
  • Participate on an Agile team, with daily scrum meetings, as well as planning and grooming meetings
  • Perform test case authoring and execution for all the release cycles implementing software best practices
  • Ability to analyze the code and suggest improvements
  • Automate the platform core applications test cases and validation of new features within the scrum cycles to increase engineering test productivity
  • Automate API and UI web-based products and application services using Python with Robot frameworks and open-source tool
  • Integrate test cycles with CI/CD pipeline
  • Develop test suites for release testing for customer migration and release deployments
  • Work creatively and efficiently in troubleshooting and resolution of system issues
  • Work with Product Owners, Developers, and Engineering Leads to analyze complex systems


  • 2+ years of quality engineering, hands on experience with functional and test automation testing using open-source tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related discipline
  • Hands on experience in testing SAAS Products
  • Good Knowledge in Python/Java based automation development and Robot Framework Automation is a big plus
  • Strong knowledge of frontend and backend application testing, API and Mobile testing, integration with DevOps pipeline
  • Knowledge of Java based application testing is highly desired, especially with Angular a huge plus.
  • Experience of using Jenkins or other CI/CD tools, Git or other SCM tools
  • Ability to collaborate closely with clear communication skills


  • Development experience in Python and Java; a plus 
  • Strong experience in SaaS products, API services and gateway; a plus
