Job Description

PURPOSE:

To provide floor level support to the warehouse supervisor in order processing, material management, shipping and receiving, and SOP compliance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understand the shift priorities as outlined by the shift supervisor and execute accordingly.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to vendor requirements and customer expectations.
  • Support facilitating safety in the work environment at all times.
  • Inform the warehouse supervisor or other managers on issues or concerns related to safety, quality, process or machinery in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with and collaborate with Supervisors, Clerks, and warehouse staff.
  • Ensure quality through adherence to all internal SOP’s
  • Train new employees as required
  • Have proper knowledge of product handling and the ability to differentiate between products
  • Ability to trouble shoot scanners and WMS issues.
  • Ensure safety inspections are being preformed on lift trucks by all operators at the start of each shift.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is being used in a safe, productive manner.
  • Ensure that all employees within station are knowledgeable of all safety points & procedures
  • Strive to comply with the vision statement of Hain Celestial
  • Work in a professional manner providing leadership and setting the example for warehouse staff.
  • Bring performance and behavioral concerns with staff to the supervisors attention.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor

COMPETENCIES: 

  • Knowledge of internal and external SOP’s relate to warehouse activity.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts
  • Product knowledge
  • Have the required HACCP knowledge for assigned station
  • Ability to use and train on warehouse equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing and verbal)
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt and work in a continuously changing environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner
  • Ability to focus on the task at hand and follow specified guidelines repeatedly
  • Advance WMS knowledge and ability to troubleshooting
  • Accurate completion of proper documentation
  • Ability to work on weekends as required
  • Reliable and dependable

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • Completion of Grade 12 with high school diploma preferred
