Senior Director, Marketing & Product Management

Position summary:

As Senior Director, Marketing & Product Management, AEHG, your role will lead the marketing and product management functions for the Access & Egress Hardware Group. The Senior Director will facilitate collaboration between product management and marketing and other business functions like Engineering and Business Development. The incumbent must have strong influencing skills and demonstrated ability to align multi-functional organizations to common goals and focused initiatives. In addition, the incumbent will be adept at identifying industry trends and to translate them into actionable initiatives for the AEHG.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for the AEHG brands
  • Work closely with operations and other teams to achieve sales and P&L goals for AEHG
  • Work closely with the DSS to align brand strategies with day-to-day sales activity
  • Lead product management on new products, product quality and market positioning
  • Facilitate the creation, maintenance and central storage of “Product Roadmaps” for all AEH Mechanical, EAC, and EM product lines.
  • In collaboration with Engineering leadership, champion the NPD initiative prioritization process. 
  • Lead marketing to develop AEHG materials that support the sales team
  • Work with Customer Service, Tech Support, DSS and customers to improve AEHG’s NPS score
  • Developing a strong AEHG communication program for both sales teams and customer
  • Develop understanding of market issues and drivers
  • Understand subgroup-specific applications; maintain contact with end user customers to become familiar with buying process and key decision makers
  • Participate in industry and vertical market organizations
  • Document competitive landscape
  • Use market knowledge and expertise to develop growth, penetration and share gain plans in collaboration with Business Development
  • Develop presentations for use by the field (PowerPoint, interactive pdfs, etc.)
  • Take lead role in executing key initiatives and programs
  • Develop annual budget and managed business to budget
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support new products for future growth while maintaining stability of existing products

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s a plus
  • 12+ years with progressive sales, business development, or customer facing experience
  • Must have direct experience in marketing, and product management.
  • Architectural Hardware or Electronic Access Control industry experience is required 
  • Experience in managing teams including: leadership, training and development
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
  • Outstanding people and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of performance excellence in meeting targets
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel 50%.
