ARINCDirect flight support services provide best-in-class flight planning, cabin connectivity, and flight operations management. ARINCDirect is seeking a versatile Senior Systems Administrator to plan, implement, oversee, and maintain server and network infrastructure projects. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems and technology. Ultimately, you will ensure our software, hardware, servers, and networks run smoothly. 

What YOU will do:

  • You will design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
  • You will support long‐term planning and management of infrastructure, including maintenance, upgrades, and replacement of obsolete equipment.
  • You will develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
  • You will define and document best practices and support procedures.
  • You will maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation, handle licenses.
  • You will interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
  • You will provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance.

Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or a Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Proven experience with Linux (Centos/Redhat) administration skills.
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Experience in administering Apache and/or Nginx web servers including SSL certificate management.
  • Installing, administering, and troubleshooting recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and LAN/WAN networking.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services (e.g., DNS, BIND, Mail, LDAP).

Skills we value:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies, such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or SaltStack.
  • Scripting experience, particularly in Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Knowledge of data backup technologies, strategies, and data recovery.
  • Elasticsearch experience.
  • Experience supporting aviation, dispatch, 24x7 operations support, and web systems.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
