NIS is responsible for a portfolio of both established and emerging data/application integration products architected to support our mission-critical systems. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 7 or more years of technical experience with all aspects of an integration product from design through development, testing, implementation, and production with extensive technical breadth through experience in the IT industry with a focus on Enterprise file platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS Transfer services and corresponding architecture at the level of a subject matter expert.
  • Experience working with but not limited to EC2, security groups, IAM roles & policies, load balancers, target groups and route53.
  • Strong knowledge of high-availability, load-balancing and failover configurations across application, infrastructure, and platform components.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code using tools such as terraform, Ansible, Gitlab pipelines, Python, Packer and shell scripting is required.
  • Working knowledge of IBM Managed File Transfer product suite and corresponding architecture is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate and work with diverse groups of subject matter experts 
  • Must be a U.S Citizen or a Green Card holder with intent to become a U.S Citizen

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as technical subject matter expert for application integration activities.
  • Leads the innovation, design and selection of new technologies in support of business and FRBSF integration engineering initiatives and priorities
  • Train solution teams on latest trends and technologies.
  • Build solutions that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies.
  • Contributes to the product system architecture, design, development, and deployment.
  • Collaborates with integration architects to identify and prioritize integration service enhancements.
  • Leads research and evaluation activities for technology solutions.
  • Defines standards to guide solution decisions in relation to multiple integration technologies.
  • Establishes the environment and instance strategy for integration platform environments.
  • Leads efforts to establish, define, maintain and communicate integration architecture guidelines, principles, standards and best practices across multiple product teams as they migrate to the cloud.
  • Develop and maintain integration services using AWS Transfer services using SFTP, FTPS, FTP, and AS2 protocols.
  • Setup AWS Lambda runtimes, Python programming.
  • Configure and manage AWS Commercial and GovCloud services, including but not limited to EC2, security groups, IAM roles & policies, load balancers, target groups and route53.
  • Participates in an Agile development environment by attending daily standups and sprint planning activities.
  • Participates in defect and incident root cause analyses.
  • Provides end-to-end support for solution integration, including designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting solutions.
  • Develops, executes and documents unit test plans and supports customer testing.
  • Collaborates with customers on integration service onboarding.
  • Supports integration service release management activities.
  • Triages incoming feature application enhancements and functionality regressions that may arise.
  • Provides production support including on-call rotation.
  • Maintains security in accordance with Bank security policies.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway with implementations leveraging both On-Prem servers and AWS EC2's
  • Experience with IBM Secure Proxy, Axway Secure Transport, Connect Direct, Sterling Control Center

Base Salary Range: Min: $124,500 | Mid: $161,800 | Max: $198,900 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
