The Jacobs Ecology team deliver complex and technically challenging local and national projects for clients involved in a wide range of infrastructure and development activities, including state and national public utilities, large-scale environmental initiatives, renewable energy projects, transport infrastructure, resources and energy projects and large scale environmental management programs. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Ecologist to our Melbourne Ecology team as we continue to build our national practice. You will provide key technical input to a range of ecological projects across various industry sectors, working as part of our established team. Your skills and experience will assist in the development of junior staff within the team. 

Here's What You'll Need:

The purpose of this role is to provide technical and professional leadership, project management and business development support within our Ecology team in Southern. Primary responsibilities will include leading and contributing to identifying, sourcing and winning opportunities by building strong relationships with clients and leading and/or writing proposals; providing guidance as to the strategic direction of the ecology business; leading and supporting the delivery of terrestrial ecology projects, often working collaboratively with a range of disciplines; supervision and undertaking flora and fauna assessments, including desktop assessment, field survey and reporting, as required; technical review of terrestrial ecology reports/deliverables; and mentoring/supporting junior staff.
