About the role:

We’re looking for a Head of PR & Corporate Communications to protect and enhance our reputation externally through PR, digital and social media and broader external communications. Balancing proactive campaigns with reactive issues, and developing consistent messaging across Dott’s markets and channels.

You will communicate on a variety of subjects including market launches and expansion, sustainability initiatives and reporting, business performance and fundraising, product developments, technology developments and profiling our executives and founders.

The Head of PR & Corporate Communications will report to the Director of Brand, PR & Comms, collaborating closely with Public Affairs, Communications Managers, Brand Designers and General Managers in markets. The position can be located in Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels or Paris.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute the Public Relations strategy
  • Key messaging relevant to Dott’s strategy
  • Calendar of corporate & consumer comms
  • Identifying stories (positive and potential crisis) 
  • Be the voice and owner for all international PR initiatives
  • Working hand in hand with Central and Local teams, including our top executives and co-founders
  • Working with corporate & consumer media to highlight ongoing messages and specific announcements
  • Build media relationships with key international media 
  • Supporting local PR activities
  • Feeding back on local press releases and initiativesAdvising on approach to reactive issues and crisis
  • Guiding on briefing documents and interview opportunities
  • Ensuring best use of tools (media database, coverage alerts) to get the most out of PR opportunities Aligning for consistent messaging across markets
  • Define and produce content to support this strategy
  • Comms plan & talking points
  • Press releases
  • Blog posts, Op-eds, white papers, surveys ...
  • Social media posts
  • Videos 
  • Manage incoming media inquiries, working with colleagues in-market across Dott’s operations.
  • Develop media training for key spokespeople.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Comms Managers (5 regions), guiding on PR approach, reactive responses, supporting with press materials.
  • Coordinate social media comms at central level.
  • Collaborate on website with website manager.
  • Managing all PR tools across markets, ensuring delivery and accuracy of press cuttings, media database.
  • Reporting on PR activity on a monthly basis to the wider business .

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in PR comms - ideally both Corporate comms & Consumer comms.
  • Experience in mobility is a plus.
  • Experience working in an international structure, building plans and activities which can be used across markets..
  • Experience working in comms around policy and regulation Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (writing, speaking).
  • Ability to think & execute in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong knowledge of media landscape.
  • Strong PR network with established relationships Proven experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Experience preparing and briefing senior spokespeople.
  • Fluent in English with additional languages (German, French) a plus.
