The MongoDB Professional Services (PS) department exists to support the development of our customers’ vision, accelerate customers’ time to value, and drive a multitude of customer adoption scenarios - from building new solutions to modernizing legacy applications or migrating to the cloud. As the Program Manager for PS Business Operations at MongoDB, you'll play a key role in enhancing the performance of our PS Sales Team (Engagement Managers) by forging partnerships across the PS division and wider MongoDB ecosystem. Your focus will be on scaling our business and elevating operational excellence through the introduction of innovative processes and tools. You'll manage a spectrum of projects, from small to large, collaborating closely with stakeholders within the PS team and across different company departments. Your responsibilities include owning the roadmap of critical programs, documenting project requirements, ensuring stakeholder commitment, and building strong connections with our internal systems team to ensure the successful implementation and timely delivery of these programs.

This role is designed for someone who is organized, adaptable, and enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have a solid operational focus and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects across multiple functions.

This is a remote role. We're looking to speak with candidates based on the east coast of the United States or in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage Strategic Initiatives
  • Take full ownership of the program roadmap, aligning it with business goals and resources. Effectively prioritize initiatives, striking a balance between immediate gains and long-term strategic goals
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple project streams within the program, ensuring cohesive and timely execution
  • Facilitate and drive requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and team members. Translate business needs into actionable project plans and milestones
  • Proactively manage risks and changes within the program, ensuring minimal impact on objectives. Develop comprehensive risk management strategies and consistently report on risks, leading proactive mitigation efforts
  1. Collaboration and Alignment
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to integrate new systems and processes seamlessly, aligning them with program goals to enhance overall sales operations
  • Work in tandem with the broader sales organization, ensuring initiatives are synchronized with the PS Sales team's objectives
  • Engage with multiple teams within PS and across MongoDB, including legal, revenue, sales, CRM, etc., fostering cross-functional teamwork
  1. Proactive Problem Solving and Adaptability
  • Research and implement new tools and processes to improve team efficiency. Identify and automate existing manual processes to reduce operational costs
  • Comfortably operate in an environment with changing priorities and ambiguity
  • Quickly adapt to evolving business needs and new data sources

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of program management experience, preferably in a software company
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a quantitative field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required
  • Direct experience with Salesforce; familiarity with Salesforce Analytics Studio and Certinia is a plus
  • Experience working within a sales operations team or in a sales operations capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and prioritize with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work independently
  • Experience in supporting Professional Services business is advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Skilled in managing multiple programs and adapting in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Analytical skills for data-driven decision making in a business context
  • Experience in program tracking software such as JIRA, Monday, or MS Project is preferred
  • Experience with CPQ or Netsuite is preferred

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. $92,000—$182,000 USD
