We are seeking an Operations Manager (Day) to join the leadership team in our brand-new, air-conditioned warehouse located in Arlington, TX!

The DC Operations Manager will drive management excellence, ensuring a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. This pivotal role focuses on sustainable growth, aligning with COG's strategy, fostering team development, and promoting continuous improvement in line with COG's core values.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of the DC Operations Manager is to lead and direct the operational & strategic planning for DC, local market ecommerce customer service &, store maintenance to ensure we deliver a superior service to our customer network (both internal/external).

A strategic, forward planning, lateral thinker – you will continuously work to develop and provide management excellence that inspires, motivates and empowers the team to deliver a safe work place, a high performing culture, efficient warehousing & customer centric solutions. You will strive to consistently improve performance standards in a constantly changing environment ensuring whist support sustainable profitable growth in the Market.

Crucial to the success this position will be your strong focus on COG, people development, Collaboration, Growth in new & existing markets, and continuous improvement and your ability to provide long term success in accordance with the COG company vision, core values and established policies and procedures. 

The role is based on a day shift, Monday to Friday.

Skills & Experience:

  • Work with DC & Functional Partners to implement resource strategies that deliver the budget result.
  • Manage site costs, operational expenses, and oversee the cost of wages, labor, and resources accurately and within budget and OWR expectations.
  • Promote safety awareness, incident prevention amongst the wider DC team, and role-model and coach my team on safe behaviors; respond to, report, and investigate hazards, near-misses, and incidents.
  • Work with Site Manager & Functional Partners to deliver fulfillment levels and manage DC Inventory Accuracy.
  • I lead the COG Way and build a team of engaged Brand and product ambassadors.
  • I manage mine and my team’s HPAs to deliver the Group strategy, and act within our Frameworks.
  • Lead high-volume, complex distribution and transport operations to deliver world-class service to omni-channel customers, nationally, applying industry best practice to our evolving operations while protecting Group DNA.
  • Implement the global supply chain strategy, making locally relevant adjustments to reflect channel and customer needs.
  • Prepare and execute agile operational plans and processes, using my judgement to solve problems that affect our service levels.
  • Influence across the Group to enable and elevate the performance of our national omni-channel supply chain and manage channel expectations.
  • Respond to business performance by leveraging the cost of doing business (CODB) while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Prepare performance reports, share insights, and take action to deliver Ever Better results for our customers.
