Under the supervision of the Climate Change Coordinator, the Job holder will assist in the roll out of projects and programmes that focus on the sustainable and responsible management of natural resources to promote climate smart farming practices to achieve food security. The primary focus will be on co-designing and ensuring the successful implementation of water, agriculture, and soil conservation initiatives country wide in coordination with respective government ministries and stakeholders. The job holder shall be responsible for assessing, managing and enhancement of environmental aspects related to water resources, soil quality and agricultural practices while promoting the integration of innovative agri-solutions to maximize the adoption of proven, sustainable traditional practices that increase food production. The overall purpose of the job holder is to strategically ensure that all proposed and ongoing projects maintain a balance on the need for enhancing agri-productivity with responsible environmental stewardship contributing to long-term healthy ecosystem, water resources and soil quality.

Education: Advanced University Degree in one of the following disciplines: Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Science, Soil science or any other related field. or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Minimum Work Experience: For holders of Advanced degree, a minimum of 1 year of post-graduation relevant professional work experience in the field of Environmental science, Environment Engineer, Natural Resource Management, Agricultural engineering, Agronomy or Soil Science. For holders of first university degree, a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional work experience as described above.
Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic, both oral and written, is required.
